Fine Art Portraiture F.A.Q.
How does the process work ?
First clients pick a time block on our schedule to shoot and make a payment via PayPal. The Mini shoots are blocked in so be sure to be a few minutes early for your shoot. We usually shoot between 50-100 images for the shoot which can be seen instantly on our TV view screen. After the shoot you will be sent a gallery link to view your images and download the number of pics in your package. Our online galleries allow our clients to order prints or purchase more digital download photos in addition to the original package.
If I prepay and then don't show is it refundable?
No, unfortunately since the time blocks have been reserved and filled we can’t rebook the slot on short notice.
Can I do a wardrobe change?
Yes, if you can pull off a quick wardrobe change within the allotted shoot time go for it!
Can we shoot on location too?
Absolutely, we are extremely versatile shooting in studio or on location. We do charge a location fee of an additional $100 that is added on to the base packages chosen.
How long does it take to see my pictures?
We have an awesome set up where you can view your images on a 42″ HDMI TV screen instantly during the shoot! As our cameras shoot it wirelessly sends images via WIFI to our display monitor so you can feel good about the progress of the shoot and make any changes instantly. After the shoot we usually take 3-5 days to get all the images edited and posted to our online galley for viewing.
What's the difference between a mini and full session?
Mini sessions are usually 20 minutes as opposed to full sessions that can run up to an hour. The mini sessions tend to be themed for the day, for example we did “mothers & daughters” or “pets”.
Can I purchase more images or prints?
Absolutely, we have designed our packages so people can upgrade and order anything they want. Our gallery images are usually up for about 3 months to give people time to review and order any prints or albums for their home.
What do I wear, any suggestions?
For our traditional classic portraiture we recommend people wear casual dark solid colors to make the subjects faces stand out. We also leave the door open for wardrobe changes if we have time during the allotted session block. Your wardrobe choice should reflect your down to earth style & individual personality so go for it!
